Warhammer 40K - Veritas City: Mega Battle

November 20, 2004

A fully detailed battle report on this event can be found in our forums (along with more images). This Mega Battle made use of our new 8 x 6 City Fight board. The game took just slightly more than five straight hours to complete - but fun was had by all. The game was scored based on total point values killed, with bonus points provided if a player's army completed their specific mission/task.

In the end - Shayn's Crimson Fist Space Marine chapter lead the way in total points. Josh's Tau brought in second, with Ron's Chaos Space Marines coming in a very close third.

Our thanks to Games Workshop for the prize donations for this event. Every one who participated walked away with a prize!

Ah, the city of Veritas. Damaged by the Ork hordes - and soon to receive further damage from the uncaring armies of the players...

A slightly different angle of the doomed city. Note the wide roads - perfect for armored vechicles, yes?

A group shot of some of the players in this small game of destruction. Sure, they look calm and civilized. This was soon to change when the game started, and the tyranid hordes starting munching on every one!
